CNC Machinist

Responsibilities: Ensure all safe work practices are adhered to when working with CNC machines and associated tools and equipment. To set-up, programme and operate CNC milling machines (Turn Mill and 5-Axis) independently. Troubleshoot technical problem. Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result. Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements. Ensure Production Run Time meets engineering allocated cycle time. Write/edit a range of CNC programs and CAM for machining parts. Understand and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of t/c parts, sequence of operations and set up requirements. Setup and operate machines on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or program control data. Conduct set-up tests: start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls as required. Perform Arc Spray / Thermal Spray coating/ Laser cladding. Ability to write and edit robotic programs is an advantage. Verify conformance of finished parts to specs or drawings using measuring and inspection tools as required. Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as required. Maintain a clean and organised work area & equipment. Requirements: Minimum Certificate / Nitec in Mechanical/ Electrical / Precision Engineering or equivalent. Must be able to read engineering drawings. Experience and able to operate physically on CNC 3-axis / 5-axis), milling machine or turn mill machines. Able to do tool-setting. General computer and CAM software knowledge. Responsible, Positive Attitude and able to work well as a team. Willing to work in Tuas, with company transport provided.

Responsibilities: Delight customers in handling enquiries, preparing quotations and tender documents and invoices, liaising with vendor to procure parts for *on the job* purposes. Co-ordinate prompt and effective responses to customer’s enquiries, request for quotation and invoices. Manage, prepare and vet commercial contracts and assist to conduct commercial discussions with customers. Follow up on client projects and assists in the presentations and maintain communication with clients via phone and handle routine inquires in the managers’ absence. Collecting and storing commercial information from various sources, responsible for compiling reports and presentations as required; prepare, maintain and update clients’ files; and assist in collecting and analyzing commercial information. Drafts and recommends changes on contract management procedures and performs benchmarking through market practices and customers feedback to incorporate best practices. Executes contract terms as stipulated in the assigned project and responds to contract enquiries from relevant parties under minimal supervision from Manager. Prepares and consolidates contract documentation and independently drafts correspondences, ensuring final copies and database are securely stored for the assigned project. Handles contract changes to submit and finalise with customers in a timely manner and liaises with business development team members, as required. Coordinates contract signing, performs checks on the contract documentation and handles disputed views in contract variation, when required. Coordinates with relevant departments and tracks project milestone for timely issuance of work completion certificate for invoicing purposes under minimal supervision. Handles billing and invoicing based on the contracted payment terms and liaises with estimation team members on the project costings, if available to generate cost summaries for the assigned projects. Follow up on payment collection and liaises with customers and legal on complicated payment terms, including reporting to management on issues that would considerably affect the cost and delivery of the project. Documents billing information (i.e. preliminary project cost, draft invoices, variation order and etc.), ensuring billing traceability and control for the preparation of billing and sales reports. Collates and manages customers feedback by trending and tracking the returned rate of completed customer feedback forms from customers for further improvement. Liaison with all subsidiaries for inquiries, progress of ongoing and job till completion for invoicing. Any other ad hoc duties. Requirements: At least 3 years working experience in marine related industry. Familiar in negotiation with subcons and vendors for specialized and complex repairs works. Job Description: • Inspect, diagnose and troubleshoot and carryout repair, maintenance or reconditioning of marine engines 2 & 4 Stroke Main/Aux Engines, Crankshaft & Camshaft Replacement and other onboard machinery. • Carry out removal and installation work onboard vessels and general servicing and repair in the workshop. • Delegate the job to the relevant team members and adhere closely to the projected repair and manpower plan. • Lead a team of service technicians and plan, organize and execute repairs, maintenance and reconditioning jobs onboard the vessels in shipyards, ports, anchorage or voyage and offshore. • Take the necessary measurements and readings to provide a repair plan, estimated repair time, consumables, and raw materials required for the job. • Keep accurate records of all repair and maintenance work performed on the engine, including any parts replaced or repaired. • Hands on work in rectification of defects and maintenance of mechanical or diesel components. • Interact with customers during the work execution. • Perform internal and external progress status up-dates of the assigned work. • Assist with the development and implementation of service procedures and policies. • Monitor service performance metrics and work with the team to identify areas for improvement. • Conduct training and development programs for technician to increase knowledge and skills in the field. • Strictly adhere to safe work procedures and applicable laws, rules and regulations. • Follow safety procedures and use proper protective equipment when working with engines and other equipment. • Proactively consulting, advising, and promoting available PMax service and products to customer. • Ensuring an adequate level of cleanliness, maintenance of tools and equipment in the workshop. • Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested Requirements: • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Marine or Engineering related field. • At least 5 years relevant experience within the engine overhaul industry. • Be able to work on board vessel's engine room environment, Shipyards, Anchorage etc and travel overseas for assignments. • Excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. • Possess positive and responsible attitude towards work. • Able to work with other specialists of the same or lower skill level and successfully complete projects. • Ability to work independently. • Able to do overtime and work during weekends and public holidays for urgent repair jobs. • Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications. • Singaporeans Preferred.
