Job Description
- Receive incoming seafood shipments, verifying their accuracy and quality
- Inspect and record product details, such as weight, quantity, and packaging condition
- Organize and store seafood products in appropriate areas of the warehouse, ensuring proper handling and adherence to food safety standards
- Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels
- Assist in the fulfilment of customer orders, picking and packing products with care to minimize damage and ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with the shipping team to prepare orders for timely dispatch, including labelling and documentation
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following established protocols
- Monitor and report any issues related to product quality, stock shortages, or damaged goods to the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of seafood products and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist in occasional tasks as assigned, such as assisting in other areas of the processing facility during peak periods or participating in inventory audits
