Job Description
• To oversee the overall quality inspection activities in the factory and to conduct factory inspections to ensure compliance with the food safety system requirements.
• Undertake the full spectrum of quality assurance function: Raw material checks, processing check, quality control and critical control points check, final product verification.
• Perform physico-chemical test, sensory evaluation and microbiological tests on food products; and to perform product shelf-life study tests.
• Provide GMP, food hygiene and food safety training to production personnel and to identify the needs for training of staff in terms of food hygiene and safety.
• Monitor raw materials, packaging materials and finished product quality.
• Ensure hygiene and cleanliness of premises and food processing facilities are of high standard.
• In-charge of arranging external calibration and purchasing of consumable items and equipment for laboratory use.
• To undertake corrective actions for non-compliance and product quality issues.
• To review, establish and implement improvements in the process and quality control processes and regulations.
• Assist to prepare quality assurance guidelines for all staff and prepare audit reports, attend and provide support in external food safety audits.
• Coordinate with the external pest control service provider.
• Attend to any other ad-hoc quality and safety matters.
• Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
