Job Description
Responsibilities
Will report to Senior Legal Counsel in diverse portfolio of corporate secretarial and other corporate, commercial, compliance matters. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage all corporate secretarial matters
- Liaise and coordinate with Senior Management, Shareholders and Directors in regard to all corporate secretarial matters
- Draft and prepare resolutions and other relevant documents
- Assist to arrange for Notary Public for notarization, authentication, and legalization of documents.
- Support business units in KYC when required
- Support of property and intellectual property matters
- Support review of contracts and legal documents including those related to marine construction, charterparties, trade (sales, purchase, rental), tenders, financing and collaboration agreements
- Rendering of legal advice for commercial application and compliance requirements
- Review/advise on litigation or potentially litigations cases including issuing internal legal notices of demand
- Any other duties under the Legal Department assigned
Requirements
- Diploma in law, LLB or similar legal qualification with preferably 3-6 years relevant PQE
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under short deadlines in fast-paced environment
- Responsible, meticulous, proactive, and organized
- Ability to work as part of team and independently
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal analytical skills for commercial application
- Experience with marine construction, tender and charterparties will be an advantage but not vital
