[Position Overview]
Science Centre Singapore is dedicated to the promotion of interest, learning and creativity in science & technology through imaginative and enjoyable experiences. Through these experiences, the Centre also contributes to the nation's development of its human resource.
We are looking for a dynamic candidate to take up the post of Science Educator, Gallery Experience.
The Science Educator, Gallery Experience works within, and outside of the organisation to create memorable experiences for our visitors in order to bring them closer to science. The Science Educator also trains organisation staff to ensure a consistent high-performance delivery of gallery interactions and experience.
[Essential Job Functions]
The Science Educator, Gallery Experiences works in a team to deliver on-ground experiences such as shows, hands-on activities and other forms of interaction with visitors. The job involves a high level of creativity and people engagement. Our experiences aim to break the fourth wall.
[Requirements]
The ideal candidate should have good experience/knowledge in Science and/or Science Communication.
He/She should be a curious and creative individual who loves novelty and the unusual, with an eye to creating unique experiences.
Candidates with strong organisational skills, consumer orientation and a continuous improver with the ability to identify trends would be preferred.
The candidate must also enjoy storytelling and story making.
Above all else, he/she should be someone who can express their individuality and enjoy interacting with all kinds of people.
Prior Experience in Project/Product Planning and Budget Controls will be an advantage for the job
Those with more years of experience may be considered as Senior Science Educator.
