Job Description
ABOUT THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION (NIE)

NIE invites applications for a manager position in the Learning Sciences & Assessment Academic Group (LSA AG). This role will provide you the experience and opportunity to work in a dynamic Academic Group with faculty members, staff and students of NIE/NTU.

Responsibilities

Finance (including and not limited to):
• Assist in the preparation of annual budget.
• Maintain vote control register.
HR (including and not limited to):
• Liaise with HR with regards to paperwork for faculty recruitment/contract review/promotion.
• Facilitate faculty annual appraisal by ensuring processes / documents in place.
• Maintain and monitor the training records of administrative staff.
• General office administration and support to faculty.
General admin:
• Manage AG Head’s meeting schedule.
• Ensure smooth communication and dissemination of policy and information to AG staff.
• Provide administrative and logistics support in LSA AG events.
• Support administrative processes at LSA AG.
• Other duties assigned.

Requirements
• A University degree.
• Experience in leading the office admin team would be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Excel and Word) as well as different communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Able to work independently and proactively.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.

NIE staff can take chartered buses at their own expense from or near their homes to the NIE campus. This is subject to availability of seats.
