NIE invites suitable applications for the position of Assistant Manager / Manager, Strategic Planning & Institutional Governance in the Office of Strategic Planning & Academic Quality (SPAQ).

Responsibilities
• Assist the HOD in overseeing and executing NIE’s strategic planning and engagement events, initiatives, and processes.
• Support the HOD in the management of NIE-level intellectual property and meeting documents.
• Support the HOD in the management of the office, which may include the department’s budget, assets, and physical spaces.
• Assist in special or ad-hoc projects / institutional events as assigned.
• Any other administrative duties in support of the HOD or office as assigned.

Requirements
• A University degree; a polytechnic diploma may be considered if the candidate has a strong track record as a professional secretary / personal assistant or office manager.
• Minimal five years’ relevant professional experience in office administration. Working experience in a public-funded educational institution is useful but not mandatory.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Highly meticulous and detail-oriented.
• Able to handle large quantities of text and numerical information on a daily basis.
• High proficiency in MS Office with some working knowledge of document / information management systems.
• Strong team player with a pleasant disposition.
• Strong ability to work independently under pressure and to meet tight timelines.
• Willingness to learn and develop capabilities, and to acquire and share new knowledge.
• Committed to excellence with strong work ethics, integrity and a service mentality, including ability to handle confidential documents and information with care and discretion.
