Job Description
Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

Managing students’ database (Studentlink)
Managing students’ database (MOE)
Managing admission procedures
Managing Edusave, PSEA accounts, school fees
Managing office inventories
Co-ordinating and delivering efficient administrative procedures within the Admin & Operations department.
Handling office tasks such as filing, generating reports and presentations, setting up for meetings.
Providing real-time scheduling support in communicating with parents, caregivers and other stakeholders.
Using computers to generate reports and create presentations.
Attending to phone calls and routing callers to the appropriate party.
Greeting and assisting visitors to the school.
Maintaining polite and professional communication via phone and e-mail.
Anticipating the needs of others in order to ensure their seamless and positive experience
Keeping abreast with new developments, skills and technology to ensure effectiveness on the job.


Job Requirements:

Certificate/ Diploma in Business Studies/ Management from recognised institutions
Minimum 1 to 2 years related working experience
Organisation of Work: The ability to prioritize, plan and establish appropriate courses of actions with effective and efficient results.
Quality of Work: The ability to present work that is of a high standard, reflecting the professional image of the organization.
Time-management: The ability to meet deadlines demonstrating a sense of responsibility and trustworthiness.
Applied Knowledge: Uses/demonstrates the skills and tools necessary to perform job effectively. Can draw upon previous experience to handle new problems or challenges. Makes effort to stay current in the field
Communication Skills: The ability to articulate and express oneself clearly reducing misconceptions and ambiguity with good command of English Language.
Knowledge and Use of Resources (Information, Supplies & Equipment): The ability to source and manage resources effectively demonstrating resourcefulness, a high sense of ownership and responsibility.
Comprehension of instructions and concepts: The ability to grasp the requirements of the job assigned demonstrating keenness of mind and awareness of consequences if instructions were not complied.

Established in 1976, APSN is a social service agency that provides special education, vocational training and employment support services for individuals with mild intellectual disability (IQ 50-70). Benefiting over 2,200 beneficiaries each year, we currently operate four Special Education (SPED) Schools (APSN Chaoyang School, APSN Katong School, APSN Tanglin School and APSN Delta Senior School) for students between the ages of 7 and 21, an APSN Student Care Centre for children from 7 to 18 years old and an APSN Centre for Adults for persons from 18 years and older. Currently, APSN cares for more than 6,000 beneficiaries, students, trainees and alumni. We are constantly expanding our network to reach out to more beneficiaries and to understand their needs so that we are better able to support them.
