We are seeking a Commissioning Technician to manage the design and installation of the marine electronics and communications equipment/services onboard shipping vessels, not limited to locally, offshore and overseas. He/ She will report directly to Commissioning Manager and the Energy Team in carrying out the following work and responsibilities: • Support with implementation/ assembly/ design/ testing with system or/ and project Engineers. • Carry out installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, but not limited to Navigation, IT, Scada, Communication system and equipment in workshop assembly and onsite. • Assist and/ or carry out Factory Acceptance Test & Site Acceptance Test with client. • Contribute necessary improvements and offer advice about operational procedures. • Work with the team to investigate problems and diagnose and repair faults, if any, in order for the equipment to work to its specifications • Help out in the timely and accurate reports, documentation, timesheets, service reports as per company/ client format for submission and reporting. • Work with the Service Department to resolve enquiries, if required. • Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time. Other Requirements • Able to work under tight schedule and minimum supervision. • Able to travel in short notice. • Good verbal communication skill. • Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends and public holidays. • Ensure a safe working environment. • Experience in Telecommunication system in marine, shipyard, offshore is preferred. Job Title and Grade will commensurate with experience. • Fresh candidates are also welcome as there will be onboard mentorship and On-Job-Trainings (OJT). • Desirable overtime allowance after probation period.

Qualifications: • Previous experience in customer service or client support roles, preferably in the marine communication industry or a related field. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a keen attention to detail. • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service and building long-term client relationships. • Familiarity with marine communication systems, equipment, and protocols is highly desirable. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • Flexibility to adapt to changing customer needs and work schedules, including the possibility of occasional on-call or after-hours support. • High level of professionalism, patience, and empathy in handling customer concerns and conflicts. • Fluent in English, both spoken and written. We are seeking the Network Support (Marine Communications) to support the pre and post-sales activities related to the Maritime telecommunication solutions provided to the commercial marine and offshore vessels. Roles and Responsibilities Pre-sales • Support the sales teams in determining customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions eg. based on vessel size and data usage requirements to pitch the right satellite solutions. • Support the design of the communications network onboard vessels to connect to the satellite solutions recommended • Perform the installation of IT networks (LAN setup, switches and routers settings, firewall settings etc) systems onboard vessels on satellite solutions per industry practices and vendor criteria. This includes the staging of customers’ systems and equipment and configuration settings and commissioning of services. Post-sales • Track all inbound and outbound activities including monitoring, maintenance, reporting, and problem resolution. • Use the fault ticketing system to log and track timely resolution of customer-reported issues. • Support customer’s change requests for systems settings eg firewall settings, top-ups of pre-paid value etc. • Update of the technical knowledge database and determine methods to improve resolution turnaround time. Requirements: • Diploma in Information Systems, computer engineering, related fields, or any related field. • Good analytical and interpersonal communications skills. • Good documentation and report writing skills. • Able to work independently and with a strong keen to learn mindset. • Good understanding and implementation skills in IP, Networking and Firewall. • Knowledge of satellite technology will be an added advantage. • Able to be on shift rotation. Additional monetary allowance will be compensated for weekend shift.
