Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced full-time Trainer to join our prestigious international hotel and tourism school. As a trainer at SHATEC, your primary responsibility is to deliver engaging and informative lessons, employing effective pedagogical methods to ensure that learners gain valuable accounting knowledge and skills related to the industry.
In this role, you will maintain close industry relationship to stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, incorporating this knowledge into your course materials to provide relevant insights to the learners. You will also be responsible for reviewing/designing training course materials and curriculum tailored for the industry. Besides training, you will provide guidance and support to learners to enhance their overall academic and personal development. You will assist in resolving disciplinary issues, providing guidance and counselling to learners who may face challenges or exhibiting behaviours that will hinder their academic progress.
Primary subjects to teach (Diploma & Higher Diploma Level):
Budgeting in Hospitality
Cost Control in Food & Beverage
Room Revenue Management
E-Commerce for F&B Professionals
Managerial Accounting and Finance
Minimum Qualification and Work Experience Required:
1. Degree holder in relevant field of studies from a recognised educational institution with at least 3-5 years industry experience at a supervisory/managerial level
2. Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is advantageous.
3. ACTA/ACLP or DACE is a pre-requisite.
4. Proficiency in utilizing essential computer software applications for effective course delivery, such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel and related Education Technology tools
5. Excellent command of English and a team player who is able to work with faculty members and administrative staff.
