Subcontracts Officer

Responsibilities:
- Establishes good relationships with contractors by maintaining key performance metrics, and resolving payment and quality issues
- Provides support in establishing and adhering to project time frames, milestones, and deadlines, and in multitasking scenarios
- Supports the internal stakeholders with the registration and accommodation of new and renewals of contract requests by registering the contract and ensuring the appropriate actions are taken
- Develops the contract summary and advises the business when there are new contracts and their requirements
- Assists with the conduct of strategic negotiations with external suppliers and their agents across the spectrum of global providers, as well as negotiates with internal stakeholders, to deliver economically sound outcomes
- Assists with the analysis of all tender offers including preparing for the selection of contractor used and negotiating with the contractors
- Supports contract negotiations and legal closure together with internal stakeholders

Requirements:
- Preferably Degree in Naval Architecture/ Civil/ Marine and Offshore/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical Engineering. Diploma holders with relevant experience are encoraged to apply
- Entry-Level candidates are welcome to apply (On Job Training will be provided)
- Knowledge of Shipyard Operations will be an added advantage
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
- Able to all compliance and auditing requirements of all Yard Policies and guidelines
