Job Description:
• Inspect, diagnose and troubleshoot and carryout repair, maintenance or reconditioning of marine engines 2 & 4 Stroke Main/Aux Engines, Crankshaft & Camshaft Replacement and other onboard machinery.
• Lead a team of service technicians and plan, organize and execute repairs, maintenance and reconditioning jobs onboard the vessels in shipyards, ports, anchorage or voyage and offshore.
• Carry out removal and installation works onboard vessels and general servicing and repair in the workshop.
• Keep accurate records of all repair and maintenance work performed on the engine, including any parts replaced or repaired.
• Hands on work in rectification of defects and maintenance of mechanical or diesel components.
• Strictly adhere to safe work procedures and applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Follow safety procedures and use proper protective equipment when working with engines and other equipment.
• Report any abnormal or extraordinary incidents to the supervisors for his/her action and follow-up.
• Keep track of the stock inventory and informed the HOD to place orders for necessary upon approval.
• Able to work with other specialists of the same or lower skill level and successfully complete projects.
• Communicates all findings and recommendations to customer and supervisor.
• Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested
Requirements:
• NITEC or Higer NITEC in Mechanical, Marine or Engineering related field.
• At least 3 years relevant experience within the engine overhaul industry.
• Be able to work on board vessel's engine room environment, Shipyards, Anchorage etc and travel overseas for assignments.
• Able to do overtime and work during weekends and public holidays for urgent repair jobs.
• Able to work well in a team with good interpersonal skills.
• Works under moderate supervision.
• On job training will be provided.
• For candidate who have a higher experience will be considered to a senior role.
• Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications.
• Singaporeans Preferred.
