Job Description

Job Purpose
•To provide optimal level of care in accordance to established policies and procedures.
•To assist in activities and programs promoting healthy aging for clients.
•Supervise Nursing Team comprising of Nursing Aides and Healthcare Assistant to ensure optimal delivery of required care to the clients.
Duties and responsibilities
•Comply with approved Nursing SOPs.
•Work with multidisciplinary team to analyze and evaluate nursing care plan and ensure care plan is implemented by team.
•Identify symptoms of clients related to illness or decline in functional/cognitive abilities and advocate early attention.
•Mentor and guide, NAs and HCAs in performing their functional duties.
•Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
•Assist client to manage common age-related conditions such as incontinence and loss of mobility.
•Assist Registered Nurse as when required.
•Other additional operational duties as assigned by Centre Manager.
Qualifications & Skills Required
•Nitec in Nursing
•Registered with SNB
•Experience working in an elderly setting is an advantage
•Compassion, critical thinking, and organizational skills
