Job Description
Primary scope of technicians will cover the AV and Video Conference (VC) system. The scope includes but is not limited to the following:
• To operate and run day to day AV and VC system for virtual and physical events.
• Plan and manage schedule for multiple events (including multiple days events), to ensure setup and tests are done at least 30 minutes before event begins.
• Responsible in ensuring AV and VC system are in good working condition by conducting predictive and preventive maintenance, daily, weekly and monthly routine inspection of equipment.
• Produce weekly report of the maintenance checks for filing and checking.
• Monitor and attend to maintenance service requests, investigate and initiate corrective actions for any service and equipment breakdown, or fault detected during routine check, servicing and maintenance.
• Maintain an asset inventory with proper labelling as well as problem and incident reports.
• Ensure the updating of the engineering systems information databases (such as drawings, operation and maintenance manual, etc.).
• Coordinate and supervise the rectification of AV and VC defects, maintenance, replacement and upgrading works.
• Coordinate and work with audio and visual equipment and cleaning contractors to set up meeting venues including seating arrangements and equipment.
• Any other AV and VC system works or related works that arise from operational requirement.
Secondary Scope of the technicians will cover the building, mechanical and electrical system. The scope includes but is not limited to the following:
• Conduct preventive maintenance and regular inspections of installations, fixtures and fittings, equipment, common facilities and property to ensure they are clean, safe and in good working condition.
• Undertake minor building, mechanical and electrical repair works, and handyman works (such as changing of light bulbs, reset drawer locks, etc).
• Monitor and attend to maintenance service requests, investigate and initiate corrective actions for any service and equipment breakdown, or fault detected during routine check, servicing and maintenance.
• Daily, weekly and monthly inspection of key facilities, systems and critical areas.
• Coordinate and supervise the rectification of defects, maintenance, replacement and upgrading works carried out by contractors.
• Supervise contractors/vendors performing maintenance works on UPS, generators, FM200, fire alarm, sprinkler, high voltage and low voltage switchboards.
• Monitor utilities consumption by taking water and electricity meter readings and report out of normal consumptions.
• Assist in fire safety management, emergencies and business continuity plan.
• Liaise with other divisions on projects and maintenance works and ensure compliance with fire, health and safety standards.
• Ensure the updating of the engineering systems information databases (such as drawings, operation and maintenance manual, etc.)
• Any other facilities management works or related works that arise from the building operation and need.

How to Succeed:
Experience in government procurement would be an advantage.

Preferably at least a polytechnic Diploma in AV or ICT-related discipline or equivalent
