They also perform checking of uplifting every morning and coordinate with customers, overseas agents and freight forwarders Job Responsibilities: • To know what types of permits to declare for each customer / import shipment • To ensure accuracy on declaration of permits e.g., HS Code, value, Currency, etc to avoid any wrong calculation of tax paid by customer and goods being compounded by Singapore Custom • To arrange COD collection of all GST Tax / Duties prior to deliveries or COD basis • To ensure that the permits are properly endorsed and email acknowledge by Singapore Customs for those with additional clauses / requirements – e.g., TN48hours, payment proof for G1 permit, etc • To ensure that the process of the whole shipment – cargo departs from Origin, any delays in transit or clearance at destination, to be updated timely to customer/agents so that they could keep track /aware of any potential delays. • To contact customer to confirm on the delivery arrangements, e.g., Preferred delivery time, delivery address, any special delivery requirements e.g., Tailgate truck, manpower, etc prior to the shipment arrival • To ensure that the correct type of import job is created in FM upon receipt of docs from agents or customer • To be able to identify the urgency of some time-sensitive air shipments and to prepare all necessary docs – e.g., D/O, Release arrangement, liaising with the traffic team to standby for clearance & delivery, accordingly prior to shipment arrival. • For New or COD customers, to inform Accounts department to create new customer ID in FM prior to creation of job so that the job can be track easier by the Accounts department. • To Ensure all shipments are billed in timely manner and all to be completed before 10th of every month • To send payment request to AP colleagues before the cut off time and ensure that the figures are accurate + AI Reference provided • Require to update report for new receiving of cargo and send to agent / customer • To be able to work closely with team & other departments to promote a healthy working environment • Willing to learn new things / implementation of new rules by the Singapore customs / Company SOP, etc Job Requirements: • At least 1 year experience in the related field and able to declare permits • Team player and have a positive attitude • Able to coordinate with customers and truckers to ensure smooth operations and deliveries
