Woodlands Health (WH) envisions personalised and quality healthcare for the community of the future. It will co-develop and integrate services with community stakeholders and extend care beyond the hospital into the community and homes.
To work with the Radiology Informatics Team, the general duties and responsibilities of the
RISPACS Officer includes daily administration and management of the Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archival and Communication Systems (PACS) and relevant components such as modules, applications, systems that are integrated to RIS and PACS, ensuring that all are working to specifications, user requirements and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Specific (Operation)
Support daily operations of IT systems relevant to Radiology operational needs such as managing order, image flows, routing, pre-fetching, correcting broken studies, editing patient demographics/exams
Document and communicate specific issues identified with clinical users with respect to service issues, updates, progress and resolution
Troubleshoot basic Radiology RIS-PACS and Radiology-specific Electronic Medical Records, Billing System, Communication System issues, escalating to the relevant parties/vendors when applicable
Provide daily administration of PACS application and RIS modules, maintaining system integrity, through daily health checks of the system
Perform daily, weekly and monthly routine maintenance procedures and report generation as required
Support and execute Business Continuity Procedures during system downtime and subsequent reconciliation efforts
Carry out procedures as documented in Service Level Agreements for reporting problems to relevant parties and escalating issues through to resolution
Work with IT department, vendors and end-user groups to communicate request for moves, additions and changes to the systems
Conduct system/component training for RISPACS
General
General book-keeping of RISPACS issues
Liaise closely and execute Project tasks with IT team, vendors and end-user groups during
Project start up, setup, implementation, training, system upgrades and on-going support.
Support Radiology User in relevant group meetings in general secretariat, coordination, technical setup
Support IT projects within Department of Radiology
Perform ad-hoc data mining and housekeeping from Radiology IT Systems. Any other duties assigned by reporting officer or Radiology leads
Job Requirements
A recognized Degree, preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science or Cybersecurity
At least 0-4 years in healthcare or related industry. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
Relevant experience in Radiology Department and/or healthcare environment is advantageous
Some work experience or knowledge with Informatics Systems, servers, networks is preferred
Good interpersonal skills. Possess effective written and oral communication skills

Adaptability and Initiative. Responds in a proactive manner to daily challenges. Effectively and easily adjusts approach to match varied task requirements
